Research

"Although the role of physical activity in the prevention and attenuation of chronic diseases of lifestyle is widely recognised, even in older adults, there is little data on the prevalence of physically active lifestyles in older adults in sub-Saharan Africa. Few studies have also attempted to link physical activity to health outcomes or morbidity in this population” (SAMRC report, 2005).

The Exercise Laboratory is dedicated to producing quality research with real applications to everyday life. Please click on the topics below to obtain more information on each research project.
